Sylvie is a doctoral student in urban studies at INRS, Centre Urbanisation Culture Société and a doctoral student in geography, urban planning and development at the University of Lyon2. She previously obtained an Executive Master’s degree in territorial governance and urban development at Sciences Po Paris, and a Master’s degree in law, economics and public administration at the University of Poitiers. In the framework of her thesis, she is interested in the imaginaries and practices of ecological living in a mirror reading between France and Canada, under the prism of the experiences of eco-neighborhoods and ecovillages carried out by ordinary collectives. She is a member of the Triangle Laboratory on Action, Discourse, Political and Economic Thought at the ENS Lyon.
