In the face of the climate crisis, the socio-ecological transition is unfolding in the form of citizen initiatives that seek to transform living environments. The launch of this book, which explores the links between public and collective action, as well as the effects of citizen action on existing policies, will be an opportunity to give a voice to committed citizens in Montreal and to researchers who have worked on the subject. In the form of a round-table discussion, we will address the need to support these initiatives and the issue of under-funding for the transition, a source of great concern for our common future.
